With over 49 years of experience, and having built over 4,500 propane trucks with exports to 20 countries, Jarco has what it takes to build the highest quality, longest lasting bobtails on the road.

Nancy Jarvis Coop, President, grew up in the propane industry as her father Casey Jarvis, founder of Jarco, began his business career in the Propane industry in 1947 as a salesman for a Los Angeles tank company.

Casey introduced the single barrel propane transport throughout the United States. Casey was a member of the NPGA Technical and Standards Committee for 12 years, and has represented the NPGA in meetings with the Department of Transportation in Washington D.C. He also served on the NPGA Board of Directors for six years. In 2007 Casey was presented the Distinguished Service Award by the Western Propane Gas Association.

Setting the Standards

We are fabricators, designers, and innovators, and have developed what are now "standards" for the Propane industry. Over the years we have introduced to the Propane industry the recessed 4 inch float gauge, a high capacity, ultimate safety fill opening in the tank, and an air brake interlock system. We have always welded our liquid piping system as much as possible, and have designed the piping system around welding.

Chassis Specification & Design

A major responsibility we take on for our customers is matching the tank body with the correct chassis. The right wheelbase, enough axle capacity, transmission choices, tire sizes, etc., all are a part of developing the correct vehicle design to be within the Federal weight limits and the special weight limits in various states.

One Year Warranty

We strongly believe in service after the sale. Our warranty is for one year on parts and labor, and some components carry extended warranties such as Fisher (5 years) and BASE Engineering (2 years). When a customer calls with a problem, we make every effort to solve the problem and have the bobtail unit back in operation as soon as possible. We understand the urgency to ensure downtime is minimized.
